Bioluminescence is Still Here!

Every year at this time when conditions are right, the eelgrass around Hog Island becomes home to millions of dinoflagellates. When disturbed by passing fish, marine life, or even our paddles these tiny single cell algae create one of the most spectacular natural events we've ever seen -
a sparkling light show in the waters of Tomales Bay.

Tomales Bay Sunset

As the sun is setting, we will stop on a secluded beach and treat ourselves to a mini-picnic of decadent gourmet desserts, hot beverages and beautiful scenery. As we float in White Gulch we can hear the elk bugle in the background.

Join us for one of nature's brightest miracles.

Dates: Sat. Sept. 4th, Sun. Sept 5; Mon. Sept 6th
Time: 6:00pm  to 10:00pm
